Looking For a Formal Letter Template

A formal letter template will help you write letters faster. If you have one ready, prepare it for future use by putting your logo, business name, return address and other relevant information in it. When the time comes, you can just type in what you want to say, then print it or send it via e-mail.

If you don't have one, you can make one from a blank document by inserting a logo at the top center, your return address at the top right corner, then on the top left corner, just above your salutation, you can remind yourself that you have to put the inside address there by typing: <inside address> in the space you provide for it.

You can also prepare the paragraphs by indicating what should be written there to guide you later on. For instance, you can write: <paragraph 1: why am I writing this letter>, press "enter" twice, then write: <paragraph 2: how did it happen?>; press "enter" twice again

and write: <last paragraph: what do I want them to do about it?>

When the time comes to use it, simply copy it on a new word document and fill in the blanks. It becomes easy to review too, because when you see an area with a few words enclosed in the signs < and >, then you know that you missed something.

If you don't want to make one out of a blank document, you can get a formal letter template from Microsoft Office by connecting to Microsoft Office Online or by searching through the internet for formal letter template.
